The 8th Hum Awards were held on 24th September in Toronto and were packed with some of the biggest names from the entertainment fraternity. The award ceremony not only celebrates the best dramas of the year but over the years it has also become the most important fashion runway, where stars show up dressed in their best. This year was no different. From Sonya Hussyn, Iqra Aziz, Ushna Shah to Saboor Aly, here’s a rundown of the best female stars on the HUM Awards 2022 red carpet.
Sonya Hussyn
Ever the style maven, Sonya showed up and owned the red carpet in a Farah Leghari powder pink saree. The Saraab actor flaunted her dangling earrings, kept her hair open, and opted for dewy makeup to finish the look.
Iqra Aziz
Even though Iqra might be absent from the TV screens, she knows how to make an appearance count. The Raqeeb Se actor rocked a princess gown by Nomi Ansari couture, with graphic printed flora and fauna. Poker-straight hair and silver round earrings rounded off her look.
Hania Aamir
Looking resplendent in a silver sequined saree, Hania kept it traditional as she sported the classic embroidered drape on the red carpet. Minimal makeup and accessories, with hair styled into a bun completed her ethnic look.
Aymen Saleem
Giving us one of the most experimental looks from the event, Aymen Saleem picked out an ivory swirl sculpture gown by Indian designer Gaurav Gupta. The refreshing look was further enhanced by smokey eyes, maroon lips and silver bracelets.
Zara Noor Abbas
Zara rarely goes wrong on the red carpet. And thanks to her stylist team who has kept her looks sleek over the years. For the Hum Awards the Badshah Begum actor opted for a shimmering red saree by Zamanay. She wore just a pair of earrings as her only other jewelry. With her hair styled into a stylish bun, this look was one of our favorites from the evening.
Saboor Aly
It’s not just Aly’s craft that has evolved over the years, her red-carpet choices too, are nothing short of perfection. Saboor Aly manages to pull some of the most celebrated labels on the red carpet effortlessly. For Hum Awards, she went all out and loud. She opted for a classic Audrey Hepburn inspired ensemble by Sania Maskatiya.
Ushna Shah
Seems like fishtail gowns were the real deal at the event. Ushna Shah picked out a custom-made scarlet red gown by Asim Jofa. The Habs actor exuded the perfect old-world charm. Hair styled into perfect cascading waves, a pair of edgy high heels and statement clutch completed the actor’s look.
