HUM Bridal Couture Week (BCW) 2024 brought together the crème de la crème of Pakistan’s showbiz industry for a dazzling display of fashion and creativity. Held at the iconic PC Hotel Lahore from December 20 to 22, the event featured popular stars showcasing breathtaking bridal ensembles and captivating the audience with their impeccable modeling. From vibrant colors to intricate designs, BCW 2024 celebrated the perfect blend of tradition and modernity, leaving fashion enthusiasts in awe. Let’s look of what all happened at BCW 2024.
Day 1
The event began with J. show featuring Waseem Akram’s whose outfit made quite the statement, promoting J. perfumes. Bilal Saeed and Urwa Hocane shared some sweet moments on the ramp, though Hocane’s outfit was overwhelming, with poor fitting detracting from its appeal. Tiktokers Aiman and Mushtaba brought fresh energy as they walked for Adnan Pardesi. Aiman, in particular, strutted like a pro. Rajab Butt gained some applause, but his walk felt stiff and awkward.
Sonya Hussyn, Shahbaz, and Mumtaz Begum walked for Huma Hammad. While Sonya dazzled, but her ensemble and jewelry were too heavy and could have benefitted from a more understated approach. Nimra Khan looked radiant walking for Shakeel’s.
Saba Qamar then took the stage for Iqra Furqan in a heavy dress, but her dramatic walk left the audience in awe. ‘Kattar Karachi’ stars Kinza Hashmi and Talha walked for Muneeb Nawaz. Talha’s swag shone through, though their outfits lacked harmony. Kinza’s look stood out, but muted pants would have elevated her ensemble.
Day 2
Zubab Rana looked stunning in Haris Shakeel’s creation, while Umer Shehzad wowed in Tayyab Abu’s designs. Amar Khan and Mikaal Zulfiqar walked for Basit Sifra, seamlessly incorporating moments from their ongoing drama, Dil-e-Nadan.
Mehwish Hayat wore Hafsa Imran Khan, but her neckline design seemed confusing. Emmad Irfani and Ahsan Khan, meanwhile, struggled to carry off their Almirah outfits. Imran Ashraf was a vision of elegance in a sleek black tuxedo, showcasing his lean physique. The OG queen Sadaf Kanwal made a dazzling comeback for Zaria, and Saba Hameed impressed everyone with her grace while walking for Mehdi.
Day 3
Muneeb Butt looked dashing in black for Imran Rajput ensemble. Juggan Kazim, Faran Tahir, and Shaz Khan walked for Fatima Asad, offering a sneak peek at their film The Martial Artist. Usama Khan and Anmol Baloch walked for Musferah Saad and complemented each other well, though Usama’s look leaned overly feminine. Mikaal walked again, this time for Ahsan’s menswear.
Mawra Hocane dazzled in Mihha’s elegant designs, which struck a perfect balance, not too heavy, not too simple. Ken Doll and Mehreen Syed brought glamour for HSY. Hareem Farooq and Saad Qureshi’s playful walk for Souchaj was tied into their drama Bismil, though Hareem’s heavily accessorized look was reminiscent of a Christmas tree. The grand finale by Fahad Hussayn was the perfect close to BCW 2024. Aima Baig mesmerized with her stunning presence and soulful singing, leaving the audience on a high note.
