Humayun Saeed is the first Pakistani actor that has cracked it on Netflix. And as usual, everyone is busy applauding his big global achievement. It is refreshing to watch a Pakistani actor playing a prominent Pakistani character in Season 5 of the hit Netflix series.
But why should you watch The Crown?
Humayun Saeed plays the role of Dr. Hasnat Khan a heart surgeon at London’s Royal Brompton Hospital, where he first met Princess Diana in 1995. Diana struck up a friendship with him, depicted in ‘The Crown’ as taking place while she was visiting a friend whose husband was undergoing surgery with Khan. Saeed is wonderful on screen. The actor has always been the camera’s darling and the first look as the British-Pakistani doctor seems to be layered and complex. We are sure the London Nahi Jaunga actor will bring confidence and strength into the role, something that will be a delight to watch.
The Crown, is all set to premiere on November 9 and we are just too excited about it. Giving us all the feels already, Humayun took to his social media handle to share the first look.

In an exclusive conversation with Variety, Saeed said: “Dr. Hasnat Khan and Princess Diana were total opposites. He was a very ordinary man in every way and I feel this is what attracted Princess Diana towards him. His nature and simplicity made him special to Princess Diana.”
“I haven’t played a real life character on-screen and to play the role of Dr. Hasnat Khan who everyone knows due to Princess Diana was a huge responsibility,” Saeed added. “I am confident audiences will love the simplicity of the relationship and how it is portrayed on-screen.”
The ensemble cast is a talented bunch of actors who seem dedicated and eager to do a good show. Other than the main plot line, the subplots are extremely exciting. Every character has a dark secret and the compelling new season follows the adventures of the monarchy throughout the 1990s.
