Post the massive success of ‘Tere Bin’, Wahaj Ali is on a roll. The actor is finally getting his due and doesn’t seem to take his stardom and fans for granted. We say this because the actor’s next is ZEE5’s web series ‘The Pink Shirt’ alongside the magnificent Sajal Aly.
The project is written by Kashif Nisar who has a series of hit dramas under his belt like ‘Darr Se Jati Hai Sila, Raqeeb Se, Ranjha Ranjha Kardi, Dil Na Umeed Tau Nahi and the on-going blockbuster ‘Kabli Pulao’. ‘The Pink Shirt’ is penned by the legendary Bee Gul and features Sania Saeed, Rehan Sheikh, Hamza Firdosui and Nazish Jahangir in important roles. The makers recently dropped the first teaser and we simply can’t keep calm.
What do you get when you mix complex relationships, a comedy of errors, dramatic moments, a fishbowl, a ‘corny’ date, and a pink shirt?

The Premise of ‘The Pink Shirt’
As per the show’s description, “In one of her solitary errands planned to ward off the haunting memories of her priggish husband, Sameer; Sophia runs into a young businessman, Umer, who too seems to be running away from an over-conscientious fiancé, Sara.”
The Twist
The relationship is spoiled when Sophia’s mother-in-law, Neelum Malik, makes a surprise entry after many years of anger and on the pretext of finally meeting her son’s marital choice. Although Sophia’s middle-aged neighbor TS deviates much of Neelum Malik’s attention through his romantic offerings, the latter continues to make efforts for her son and daughter-in-law’s patch-up, and life becomes a challenge for Sophia who now must decide between a new and a compatible partner and a mother-in-law making consistent efforts at reconciliation.
What to Expect?
‘The Pink Shirt’ promises to be an entertaining watch due to Sajal and Wahaj’s fresh pairing and sizzling chemistry. The well-laid base, dialogues and humor by Bee Gul looks super promising. Moreover, Kashif Nisar gives the enterprise a unique flavour that we can’t wait to savour. With all such scrumptious ingredients, ‘The Pink Shirt’ promises to be a delicious watch.
