The makers of the upcoming feature film ‘Dhai Chaal’ debuted the official trailer starring Shamoon Abbasi as the Indian RAW agent Kulbhushan Jadhav. The trailer offers glimpses of Jadhav’s operations in Balochistan resulting in fatal acts of terrorism. It showcases the insinuations placed on Pakistan regarding numerous critical attacks such as the 2001 Parliament attack, the 26/11 Mumbai attack, Uri, and Pulwama. It declares these incidents as schemes by India, aiming to blame Pakistan for their own nefarious motives.

The trailer of ‘Dhai Chaal comes across as highly effective. The action, visuals and intense confrontation set the bar high and evoke a sense of intrigue and mystery. Ayesha Omar as a journalist is on a mission to unravel deeper secrets of the province. We see Saleem Mairaj as he discloses the idea of ‘Akhand Bharat’ and the camera moves to Abbasi who is set to play the ‘Dhaai Chaal’.
The antagonist Shamoon Abbasi in an exclusive statement said, “I am playing the role of an undercover spy Kulbhushan Sudhir Jadhav. It’s a real-life character so the research work was a prerequisite. The plot is based on true events, on how the Indian (spy) agency RAW created chaos through subversive activities in Balochistan and highlights the sacrifices of people in the province during that time.”
He further added, “I don’t want to be defined with a particular image. I want to dabble with diverse roles. The typical love stories aren’t my cup of tea. I feel proud of being part of projects that are committed to bringing out the reality of our country.”
‘Dhai Chaal’ is directed by Taimoor Shirazi, penned by Farheen Choudhry and produced by Dr. Irfan Anwar. The film also stars Homayoun Ashraf, Adnan Shah Tipu, Taqi Ahmed, Saleem Miraj, Faraz Marri, Jamal Gilani, Pakiza Khan, Anya Hassan and late actor Rasheed Naz. It also marks the cinematic debut of Miss Pakistan 2020 Areej Chaudhary. The rising star has an important part in driving the narrative forward.
