Former Pakistan captain boom boom Shahid Afridi was “happy to see” Shahnawaz Dahani excel and perform for Multan Sultans to get them through their second consecutive PSL final. Dahani came to bowl in the fourteenth over when the match was in a crucial stage where Lahore required 65 runs of 42 balls. Dahani gave just five runs and picked up the important wicket of inform Harry Brook.
Shahid Afridi took to his Twitter after the PSL qualifier to laud “champions” Multan for their outstanding performance against Lahore Qalandars. He wrote, ‘Outstanding performance from the champions. So pleased to see Shahnawaz Dahani deliver to his incredible potential today just the way he performed last year.’

Shahid Afridi was part of Multan Sultans in HBL PSL 6 but was not part of the Abu Dhabi leg where they have crowned Champions. Afridi recently showed his concern in a TV show on Shahnawaz Dahani’s performance. He added that the young lad has a lot of potentials and is overdoing his celebrations.
