Superstars of Pakistan Adnan Siddiqui and Humayun Saeed are undoubtedly more than committed to giving a refreshing impetus to Pakistan-Turkey ties, taking them beyond the political and diplomatic sphere.
Taking the initiative forward, the noted artists announced their new venture based on the life of the great warrior king ‘Sultan Salahuddin Ayyubi’. The magnum opus project is in collaboration with Turkey-based Akli Film producer/director Emre Konukk and Corporate Communications Director, Ahmet Faruk Bakacak.

The motto behind joining hands with Akli Film is the common goal of projecting Muslims and Islam as a power to reckon with in coming years given the current geo-political scenario, Adnan told Fashion Times Magazine. “We have seen that Muslims have emerged as a robust voice in international politics in the last few months. There is no denying the fact that we will have a greater say in worldly affairs; we want the world to recognize our community’s existence as a significant part of the larger narrative in the new world order.”
He further added, “For this to happen, we also need to make the world aware of our great history and the valorous rulers we had. They have played an important in shaping the world for it is today including Sultan Salahuddin Ayyubi. About time it was celebrated by non-Muslims too.”
The makers are tight-lipped about any further details but Siddiqui asserted that the historic epic will “leave the audience asking for more”. He also disclosed a small secret that would be of interest to millions of Pakistani, “Bilal Maqsood of the popular Strings band will be giving the background score. He will also be composing the title song for the series.”
The script-writing process by Ahmet Faruk has begun and shooting will begin within six months duration. The joint venture has been signed between Ansari-Shah Films and Akli Films. The team of Humayun Saeed, Adnan Siddiqui, Dr. Kashif Ansari, and Dr. Junaid Ali Shah will be at the helm of this new magnum opus aimed at glorifying the reign of the famous Sultan, as executive producers.
For the unversed, Saeed and Siddiqui have been ardent supporters of talent exchange from both Pakistan and Turkey as they feel the countries have powerhouses in the entertainment industry. The new venture, they feel, will provide an excellent platform for artists from both sides to work together.
