Maula Jatt to release on October 13: Will Bilal Lashari’s Reboot live up to Yunus Malik’s Cult Classic?

Bilal Lashari took a decade to bring The Legend of Maula Jatt to the silver screen. Yes, you read it right. The highly anticipated film will hit the screens on October 13. The film stars Fawad Khan as Maula Jatt, Mahira Khan as Mukko, Humaima Malik as Daro, Faris Shafi as Mooda, and Gohar Rasheed as Makha. Hamza Ali Abbasi will be seen as the antagonist Noori Nath.

The makers revealed the first poster that featured the famous gandasa along with the release date. Interestingly, the makers have decided to go with a non-holiday release.

The First Teaser

The first teaser of the film was released in 2019, after which the film faced many controversies and delays. It was eventually shelved due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The teaser was an instant hit and fans went gaga over the gripping characters, top-notch production, and magnum opus treatment.

The Premise

The plot revolves around the rivalry between local hero Maula Jatt and Noori Natt, the leader of a brutal gang. Helmed by Waar fame Bilal Lashari has also done the screenplay while Nasir Adeeb has written the dialogues. Maula Jatt is touted to be the most expensive film in the history of Pakistan. The film is produced by Ammara Hikmat’s Encyclomedia and Lashari Films. In Pakistan, the producers have engaged top cinema and distribution strategist Nadeem Mandvivalla, who will distribute the film via his Mandviwalla Entertainment.
