Iqra Aziz has been off the screen for a while as she was busy looking after her newborn. However, we have good news that will delight her fans: the actress is all set to make a comeback on screen with Aik Thi Laila, a project directed by hubby Yasir Hussain.

AikThi Laila: Synopsis
AikThi Laila is a murder mystery written by Faiza Iftikhar. The series will air on an OTT platform with five to six episodes. It will later premiere on Express Entertainment in October. The project will star Faysal Qureshi, Gul-e-Rana, Hasan Ahmed, Nayyar Ejaz Faiza Iftikhar, and Fareeha Jabeen.
As reported by Express Tribune, “AikThi Laila will follow a girl named Laila, who goes missing. And instead of catching the culprit behind her disappearance, many including her ex-fiancé and the police begin to character assassinate her by accusing her of eloping. The same people become suspects in the case of her disappearance. The serial promises a wide range of emotions and a story worth telling amidst cases of disappearance in the country, much like the Dua Zehra case.”

Iqra was last seen in the magnum opus Khuda Aur Muhabaat 3 and critically acclaimed Raqeeb Se. It’s good to see how Iqra is balancing her personal and professional life beautifully. Also, it would be interesting to see the love birds together after Jhooti. In the capacity of a director, Yasir Hussain has earlier directed Koyal and is also working on a project titled Lakar Bhaggay.
