Kashee’s ‘Bridal Festive 2022’: Clean Cuts, Contemporary Silhouettes, and Vibrant Tones Dominated the Runway

Kashif Aslam aka Kashee’s ‘Bridal Festive 2022’ was a buzzy night, with Karachi’s glitterati, influencers, fashion media, and other guests. The makeup expert and bridal wear designer marked his return to the couture runway after his debut bridal collection at the 18th edition of HUM Bridal Couture Week in 2021.Designing couture is an exercise in the endurance of skill and technique but fashion also demands novelty. Kashee impressed with beautiful clothing, attention to detail, and most of all ingenious presentation and styling. The premium wedding collection offered designs rooted in his signature style.

The collection was an ode to our rich culture and traditions and looked exquisite. Kashif made it look like a walk in the park, but creating that would have been a herculean task given the distinct embroidery work, well-crafted floral motifs, topped with Zari and Swaroaski crystals detailing. The colour palette shuffled between vibrant tones of wedding festivities and the classical red. What’s trending about this collection is the perfect combination of traditional sensibility, cut and tailored with a modern edge.

The four-part presentation format for Mayoon, Mehndi, Baraat and Valima was also refreshing, offering the audience a closer look at the details of the garments. Walking the ramp for him as celebrity showstoppers were the gorgeous Sana Fakhar, Madiha Iftikhar, Saba Faisal, and Sarwat Gillani for Mayoon. Shagufta Ejaz, Benita David, Nadia Hussain, and Sehar slayed the ramp in Mehndi segment. Saba Faisal, Rebecca, and Neelam Muneer graced the ramp in the Baraat segment. The finale was opened by Dr. Shaista Lodhi, whereas Suneeta Marshal, Sana Fakhar, and Benita also graced the catwalk. The show ended with the legendary actress Reema Khan owning the ramp and designs.

A new definition is given to the bridal couture with a signature Kashee’s exaggeration made this collection what it is.The kind of build-up to Kashee’s show was mind-blowing and we must give it to HUM TV for accommodating everyone with such grace. Well, just in case you are gearing up for a wedding this year, you need to take a leaf from Kashee’s ‘Bridal Festive 2022’.
