Ahad Raza Mir bags a role in Netflix ‘Resident Evil’ series

Good news is in order. Ahad Raza Mir has been signed in Netflix original series ‘Resident Evil’. The actor took to Instagram to announce this big achievement and wrote, ‘Evil has evolved. Resident Evil spreads to Netflix July 14.




The makers haven’t revealed which character Mir will be playing in the series.  According to Variety, “Resident Evil” is a live action, scripted series that will tell a new story building on Capcom’s hit video game franchise. Lance Reddick is set to star as Albert Wesker and the cast also includes Ella Balinska, Tamara Smart, Siena Agudong, Adeline Rudolph, and Paola Nuñez.”


The character of Albert Wesker will be played by American actor Lance Reddick. Other cast members include Siena Agudong, Tamara Smart, Ella Balinska and Adeline Rudolph amongst others.


The new series is based on the games, will serve as the studio behind the series. Andrew Dabb serves as writer, executive producer, and showrunner, with Mary Leah Sutton also writing and executive producing. Robert Kulzer and Oliver Berben of Constantin Film will also executive produce, with Constantin Film CEO Martin Moszkowicz producing.


Resident Evil


For the unversed, Mir became a household in Pakistan name with projects like Yakeen Ka Safar, Ehde-wafa and Yeh Dil Mera. His work was also globally praised in ZEE5’s web series Dhoop Ki Deewar.
