Filmmaker, director and actor Yasir Nawaz has announced to make a full-fledged commercial film in Sindhi language. Nawaz has teamed up with celebrated writer Noorul Huda Shah for this venture.
On the occasion of Sindh Culture Day celebrated on the first Sunday of December, Yasir made a video announcement in Sindhi that said, “I wish everyone on the Sindh Culture Day. I have a special announcement to make i.e. I am gearing up to direct a Sindhi film. Being Sindhi, I felt the need to direct a film of the language I speak. I have teamed up with renowned writer Noorul Huda shah Apa for the script. This will be a big gift from Noor Apa for me and Sindh. We need your blessings and prayers.”ย

On the work from Yasir Nawaz feature film, ‘Chakkar’ is all set for a theatrical release. The film stars Ahsan Khan and Neelam Muneer in title roles. The film will be tapping into a new genre in the history of cinema in Pakistan.
