The actress takes a giant leap forward and is set to headline her next feature film ‘Wakhri’ meaning “one of a kind”.
According to Variety, The film is loosely based on the life of Pakistani social media star Qandeel Baloch who was murdered in 2016. Mehmood plays the raunchy social media sensation in the film written and directed by Iram Parveen Bilal. Besides Mehmood, the film boasts a star-studded cast including Gulshan Majeed, Saleem Mairaj, Sohail Sameer, and Shees Sajjad Gul.

‘Wakhri’ narrates the story of a school teacher Noor (Faryal Mehmood) who becomes a viral sensation overnight when she accidentally unleashes her unabashed opinions on social media. This newfound fame comes with its own challenges as she has to navigate archaic mindsets and secret identities while raising her 10-year-old son.
