‘Star Wars’ actress Lupita Nyong’o calls Pakistan an ‘Aesthetic Force’

‘Black Panther’ star Lupita Nyong’o made heads turn in an ethnic ensemble as she attended her friend and artist Misha Japanwala’s wedding celebrations in Karachi this week. For one of the functions, the Black Panther star slipped into a peach-hued suit set from an Indian designer.

 

“Loving that shalwar kameez life (sic),” she wrote in the caption.

Lupita channelled her inner desi girl and styled the Anita Dongre ensemble with a pair of cascading earrings and a matching potli.

 

In addition, Nyong’o also shared a group photo on her IG Story as she reunited with her friends from Yale School of Drama. “We’ve stuck together. Very proud of us!” she wrote on the photo.

The actor also shared pictures of her hands adorned with henna in a simple design

For the unversed, Lupita Nyong’o rose to fame with Steve McQueen’s 12 Years a Slave in 2013. She also won the Oscar award for best-supporting actress for the drama. The actress has starred in movies such as Black Panther, Us, Queen of Katwe and the new Star Wars trilogy.
