Muneeb Butt is a rare talent. There is something about him that makes him stand apart from the crowd. His acting skills, expressions, comic timing, and looks are just brilliant. He knows how to perfectly mix these ingredients to bring out a brilliant performance in whatever role he picks.
The actor is all set to amaze viewers in a never-seen-before avatar in his next outing with idreams entertainment. Taking to his Instagram, the Qalandar actor shared his first look from the sets.
“[I] am really excited to announce that I am playing a very unique character of the first intersex Assistant commissioner in my upcoming project. Something that breaks the stereotypes in our society.” He wrote. Muneeb elaborated on how anxious he was to reveal this characterwhich he will be playing soon. He termed it as the “most challenging role” he has ever played to date. “Hope you enjoy the journey with me. Will be looking forward to your feedback.” He concluded while thanking his co-star Saba Qamar.
In an exclusive conversation with Dawn Images, Butt said, “It’s a six to seven-episode series, more like what you see on Netflix or Amazon for the OTT platforms. It’s a USAID series in which each episode will be based on a different story and [all of them] are excellent. My character is of a guy who by birth is a hermaphrodite. It highlights all basic, social issues such as the stereotypes in our society, the way things are done and it breaks taboos.”
The release date of the project has not been disclosed yet.
On the work front, Butt is currently making waves with his power-packed performance in 7th Sky Entertainment’s Qalandar. The show also features Komal Mir and Ali Abbas in important roles.
