Pakistani superstar Fawad Khan and Indian actress Vaani Kapoor are ready to dazzle audiences worldwide with their much-anticipated romantic film Abeer Gilal. Directed by Aarti S. Bagdi and produced by Vivek B. Agrawal, the film is now scheduled for an international release on September 12, 2025, across 1,000+ cinema screens in 75 countries.
Originally set to release on August 29, 2025, the film faced setbacks due to ongoing tensions between Pakistan and India, which led to the cancellation of its theatrical run in India. However, producers have decided to move forward with a grand worldwide release, excluding India, while maintaining the Pakistan release on the original date of August 29.
According to the producers, despite the ban in India, Abeer Gilal has strong potential to perform exceptionally well at the international box office. The decision has stirred debate, with many pointing out how political strains continue to overshadow cultural exchange and cross-border collaborations in cinema.
