Usman Mukhtar’s upcoming film ‘Chikkar’ is loaded with a group of stunning actors. While there is still some time for the film to hit the big screen, fans recently got a sneak peek into the film after Mukhtar dropped its teaser on the evening of November 19th. The teaser which will undoubtedly keep you hooked to the edge of your seat till the very end has finally quenched the thirst of fans.
Chikkar’s teaser opens with a compelling sequence where Faryal Mehmood boldly dances amidst a gathering of men. This impactful visual serves as a prelude to a story that explores societal obstacles. Rich in symbolism, the teaser showcases different environments such as government structures, long corridors, dimly lit spaces, and vast fields. The narrative move through these varied landscapes with determination, suggesting the complex layers the narrative is poised to unfold.
‘Chikkar’ features an outstanding ensemble cast, which includes Adnan Shah Tipu, Ushna Shah, Saleem Meiraj, Usama Javaid Haider, and Usman Mukhtar in lead roles. Dareechey Films, the production entity responsible for Chikkar, succinctly describes the film as an exploration of individuals who speak up, those who silence them, and those who choose to remain silent.
Although the teaser predominantly lacks dialogue, it provides subtle clues about its theme. It features a policewoman watching a video of a woman playing with her child on her laptop. Usman Mukhtar’s character, SSP Sarmad Zaman, is seen leaving an office marked as the “Ladies Sector.” A tragic scene unfolds with the lifeless body of a girl covered by a sheet in an ambulance. The concluding shot portrays a man sitting at a desk, tearfully pleading, “Mujhay Bacha Lo Sahab!” (Save me, sir!).
