Ace director Dawar Mehmood has often collaborated with Anwar Maqsood and KopyKats Production to create memorable theatre plays especially in the ‘Chauda August’ series. Their first collaboration was Pawnay Chauda August way back in 2011, following Sawa Chauda August in 2012. Both the seasons broke records and ran to packed houses.

Recently Dawar took to social media and announced the end of the trilogy. He announced the last project of the series titled ‘Saadhay 14 August’
His post read, “I have never been more excited than I am today to announce the end of the trilogy. After Pawnay 14 August and Sawa 14 August I humbly present Saadhay 14 August.”

Mehmood also teased the theatre enthusiast by sharing a clip from the archives from the history of Pakistan.
He wrote, “Deep from the archives of Pakistan’s history, an epic conclusion to the trilogy of 14 Aug. Theatre enthusiasts, stay tuned.”

Saadhay 14 August is scheduled to be staged around the second or third week of May in Karachi.
