Ali Zafar’s new Pashto song ‘Larsha Pekhawar’ pays homage to the vibrant culture and bravery of the Pashtuns. The track also features the beautiful Gul Panra and Fortitude Pukhtoon Core. The music has been composed by Hassan Badshah and the video’s direction has been done by Waleed Akram.

The foot-tapping number captures a multitude of emotions just with the power of music and exceptional vocals. The electrifying beats with a high dose of Pashtun elements make it a potent mixture at regional events. The beautiful Peshawar and the colorful backdrop are indeed a visual treat to watch. The lyrics are catchy and engaging; it grows on you eventually making you dance instantly. Zafar and Panra are engrossed in the song and there’s a certain classy feel to the proceedings. Apart from the soulful vocals, their pairing is refreshing as an ice-cold watermelon juice in scorching heat.
The song released on Pashtun Culture Day (September 23) has been a super success and is trending number one on You Tube. Zafar took to Instagram to thank his followers for making the music video trend number one. “Thank you so much for the love always,” he said.

Zafar called the song a “humble tribute to a great people with one of the most vibrant, honorable and powerful cultures in the world” in a video message.
Interestingly ‘Larsha Pekhawar’ is Zafar’s third regional number. Earlier his two regional songs, Laila O’ Laila and Allay, have altogether crossed a record 67 million views on YouTube alone.
