The writer bases her character on a stereotype but they go further. Jafri makes sure to show us the face of Natasha and that’s why we love her.
It’s hard to believe that ‘Jaisay Aapki Marzi’ is her debut performance. She is so good that we are rooting for her scenes. Her screen presence is way stronger than both Mikaal Zulfiqar and Dur-e-Fishan Saleem, who play the leads. They are sidelined by Kiran’s brilliant performance. Her exceptional acting prowess and intense performance leave a lasting impression on viewers.
Summing it up, Kiran Malik is the villain introduced in a really specific way but deep inside she’s a million things more. And that’s how you create epic antagonists with different layers.
