In what is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated cinematic team-ups in recent Pakistani entertainment history, silver screen superstar Fawad Khan and television powerhouse Iqra Aziz are set to share the big screen together for the very first time.
Directed by renowned satire pioneer Murtaza Chaudhry (of 4 Man Show and BNN fame), the untitled feature film marks a major moment for local cinema. The project is being produced by Maida Azmat under a landmark initiative supported by the Sindh Government to revitalize and fund Pakistan’s filmmaking infrastructure.
A Powerhouse Ensemble
While the official title and plot details remain strictly under wraps, sources confirm the project boasts a heavy-hitting ensemble. Veteran actors Asif Raza Mir, Shamyl Khan, and Hollywood-Pakistani star Farhan Tahir are locked in key roles, while blockbuster director Bilal Lashari (The Legend of Maula Jatt) is set to make a high-profile cameo appearance.
Filming is already well underway, with camera crews having wrapped sequences across key locations in Karachi and Quetta.
Double Trouble: Netflix & The Silver Screen
This upcoming feature won’t be the only place fans can catch the duo sharing space. Both Fawad Khan and Iqra Aziz are also part of the star-studded ensemble cast for Pakistan’s upcoming Netflix original series, Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo. However, this new feature film represents their official debut as a lead pair on the silver screen.
“Fawad continues to be our biggest box-office magnet post-Maula Jatt, and pairing him with an actor of Iqra’s raw screen presence makes this a win for Pakistani cinema.”
While online debate has already sparked around the fresh pairing, anticipation is undeniably high. Audiences are eagerly awaiting the producers’ official drop of the film’s first-look poster, title reveal, and theatrical release schedule.
