🔥 Golden Spear! Arshad Nadeem Makes History with 86.40m Throw at Asian Athletics Championship

History was made as Arshad Nadeem delivered a thunderous performance, winning gold in the men’s javelin throw with a stunning 86.40-meter effort at the Asian Athletics Championship. With this heroic feat, Nadeem not only topped the podium but also ended Pakistan’s 50-year wait for a gold medal at the prestigious continental event.

This victory is more than just a medal—it’s a historic comeback and a symbol of perseverance. Arshad, who had been sidelined due to injury last year, returned stronger and more determined. India’s Sachin Yadav claimed the silver medal with a personal best throw of 85.16m, while Japan’s Yuta Sakiyama secured bronze, also recording a personal best of 83.75m.

Sri Lanka’s Rumesh Tharanga Pathirage, who led the early rounds, was eventually pushed out of the medal positions and finished fourth with a strong 83.27m throw.

India’s Yash Vir Singh placed fifth, delivering a personal best of 82.57m. China’s Hu Haoran followed in sixth, registering a season-best throw of 80.93m.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka’s Sumedha Jagath Ranasinghe Ranasinghe Mudiyanselage came in seventh with a 79.81m effort, and Pakistan’s Muhammad Yasir rounded out the top eight with a throw of 75.39m.
