Why does Zara Tareen wants Fahad Mustafa to Shut Up?

The super talented actress Zara Tareen took a dig at actor-producer Fahad Mustafa on his recent remarks over bloggers for posting unfavorable reviews for the recently released feature film ‘Khel Khel Mein’.

Tareen’s Insta story read, “I am not sure reviews damage film or the industry in any way but doing films for free as a rule certainly damages the market for an entire profession so,”

She concluded using hashtag, ”ShuttupMusafa’

Take a look at the complete post of what Fahad had posted on Instagram, he wrote, “ To all the bloggers: With all due respect, let people go and watch the movie first, your reviews can wait. You coming up with reviews (be it right or wrong) can damage the film big time and it wont help the industry in any way. This industry needs support… Let people decide if the film is worth watching or not.”

Surprisingly, Mustafa’s post came out right after Momin Ali Munshi of Galaxy Lollywood posted his Sach Sach Review. The crux of his post said, “It’s our responsibility as bloggers, journalist and press to comment on a film and let public know that what we think. Having said that, at the end of the day it is just one person’s opinion on a film, one person’s subjective take on a film.”

Considering all the above statements, we agree with Zara’s statement. Fahad Mustafa’s point of view comes across as biased that favors only him as a producer. It is the duty of the reviewers -journalists to guide the audience with their honest reviews. Yes, due to the COVID-19 pandemic cinema has been damaged to a great extent. However, a review may be delayed but not posting the critical analysis for a film means eliminating the job role of a critic.
