What’s the best possible combination for a gripping thriller? Neelam Muneer, a murder mystery and a nail-biting storyline. That’s exactly what the Chakkar trailer has to offer. Yaaaas! Yasir Nawaz is back and with just the mention of his name you should know that you’re in for a helluva ride.
The trailer of his upcoming crime thriller Chakkar stars Ahsan Khan and Neelam Muneer, and it is easily one of the best trailers we have seen so far. Why? Because it’s brisk and doesn’t end up giving away the entire movie. It’s a great 2 minutes and 50 seconds of Yasir’s impeccable style, cut very well, and gets the audiences pumped for Eid-ul-Fitr.
The trailer of Chakkar shines because it shows just enough to get us intrigued. We know (Neelam Muneer) plays a double role Mehreen, Kabir (Ahsan Khan) wife, and Zara Khan who’s a superstar. There’s a murder, Ahsan gets embroiled but he may not be as innocent as he seems. (Yasir Nawaz) plays Inspector Shahzad who investigates the murder. And that’s enough! The audience is hooked. The trailer teases us with where the film might go with the plot, but we’ll still have to see it to know what happens.
According to the YouTube deception of the official trailer, “Chakkar” is a murder mystery full of masala and entertainment”. And we couldn’t agree more.
The film is produced by Nida Yasir and Yasir Nawaz. The latter has also directed the film. It also stars Javed Sheikh, Ahmed Hasan, Mehmood Aslam, Shamoon Abbasi, and Naveed Raza amongst others. We also see cricket legend, Shoaib Malik, in a cameo.
