In December 2021 a resolution on artists receiving Royalty Resolution for their work was submitted in the Senate by PTI Senator Faisal Javed Khan. Finally, Khan has some good news for the entertainment fraternity, the Senate has greenlit the resolution in their favor on Monday.

The news spread like wildfire in the entertainment industry and celebrities rejoiced and thanked the Senator for his efforts.

It was Mikaal Zulfiqar who first demanded artist royalty when his hit drama ‘Diyar-e-Dil’ was rerun for the umpteenth time on HUM TV. The actor was delighted with this decision and said, “Biggest news for the media industry in years. Thank you Faisal Javed Khan for giving us our due right. This will benefit so many. The industry as a whole will prosper. Big thank you to the Senate for passing the royalties bill. Thank you to everyone who unconditionally supported this process.”
