Weekend Special: How to make Classic Chinese Fried Rice at Home

Presenting you the best Recipe for chinese rice – Growing up, our family had a tradition of eating Chinese once a month at our favorite restaurant. I was so obsessed with Chinese cuisine that I was always after my mother (who wasn’t fond of cooking) to make me Chinese fried rice at home. So, finally one day, my mother cooked this delicious recipe for the entire family that I am sharing with you all today.

Fried rice is the most simple and delicious rice dish that is extremely easy to cook. This is a perfect go-to dish for every rice lover. You just need a few easily available ingredients. Let’s make some homemade Chinese fried rice.




Rice: Half Kg  (soaked & boiled with salt)

Oil: ¼ th cup

Carrots: 1 cup | Julienne cut (boiled)

Green Capsicum: 1 cup | Julienne cut (boiled)

Peas: 1 cup (boiled)

Spring onion: 1 cup (finely chopped)

Chicken breast: 1 (boiled and shredded)

Garlic: 1 tbsp (finely chopped)

Salt: 1 tsp or to taste

Black Pepper: ¼ th tsp

White Pepper: ¼ th tsp

Soya Sauce: 3 tbsp

Vinegar: 1 tbsp

Chicken powder: 1 tbsp

Eggs: 3



Step 1: Scramble the eggs by using a small pat of butter, scramble 3 eggs in a large sauté pan, breaking them into small pieces as you go. Then transfer the eggs to a separate plate, and set them aside.


Step 2: Heat oil, fry garlic until it turns golden brown. Now add the chicken, carrots, capsicum, and peas. Add in the seasonings, i.e. salt, black pepper, white pepper, chicken powder, soya sauce and vinegar. Fold in the rice, lastly add scrambled egg and spring onions, toss well and serve hot.


Preparation time: 20 minutes

Cooking time: 15 minutes

Total time: 35 minutes
