Synopsis

The trailer begins with a couple played by Ali Rehman (Shani) and Hania Aamir. The wife tells the husband to get tested for potency to which his fragile ego gets badly hurt. Not just that, Shani has huge pressures from his parent to start a family. He tries every trick in the book, be it watching YouTube today, getting Hakeem nuskhay, visiting doctors, etc. Will Shani be able to get past all this? How will he confront his family and society and survive as a happy family? This is what Parde Mein Rehne Do is about. The trailer highlights such problems and the consequences that occur due to them. We have to give credit to a film like this for producing sensible content and addressing taboo issues.

In an exclusive interview in March 2021, Wajahat spoke about why he choose Parde Mein Rehne Do as his next film, ‘I was working on the script of my fourth film when writer Mohsin Ali, who’s also a mutual friend, came to me with this script. After reading it, I was blown away and decided that this should be my next film. Parde Mein Rehne Do is based on a strong social issue, dealt lightly.’

Final Word

When stories made with passion receive the same level (if not more) of adulation and support from the audience going to the box office, it will further motivate storytellers to bring more positive stories to the big screen. It’s like the ‘Demand meets Supply’ game of economics. You crave more good quality content, rest assured the demand will be met. Parde Mein Rehne Do is coming to your nearest theatres this Eid-ul-Fitr.
