The music of Mere Humsafar OST has been perfectly arranged by composer Naveed Nashad. As the track begins the melody is being kept minimal, largely depending on the guitar and piano. It’s a slow tune that relies more on melody than percussions. But the standout feature of this song is the meaningful lyrics by Qamar Nashad. They not only express all the emotions beautifully but are also perfectly in sync with the tempo.

Singer Amanat Ali and Zaheer Abbas have done a fine job, but what elevates the track to a magical level is the equally brilliant voice of the new singing sensation Yashal Shahid. Her soulful retention pierce our hearts as she voices the protagonist’s agony and vulnerability. Shahid makes full use of this opportunity and brings the correct amount of pathos to the song. Doing justice to Nashad’s composition she makes sure that she accurately delivers the emotions. Post the mega-success of the soulful OST of ‘Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay’ Yashal Shahid has set the bar higher for herself to create a powerful impact through her music, and this time is no different.

Four episodes down, the engaging narrative and performances of ‘Mere Humsafar’ have managed to keep the viewers hooked. However, Farhan Saeed’s entry is highly awaited. Directed by Qasim Ali Mureed and written by Saira Raza, the drama serial is produced by Six Sigma Productions and airs every Thursday on ARY Digital. It has been getting some rave reviews since the airing of its first episode. ‘Mere Humsafar’ also stars Saba Hamid, Samina Ahmed, Zoya Nasir, Omer Shahzad amongst others.
