It was claimed that Pakistani actress Maya Ali was offered a film alongside Indian actor Akshay Kumar, but it did not work out.
Maya Ali is one of the well-known faces of the Pakistani showbiz industry and has performed in numerous dramas and super hit films.
According to some reports, Maya went to India for the audition of the Bollywood film which was a success; however, it did not work out in the end because India had banned Pakistani artists.
Maya revealed that she got the offer years ago when she was shooting for the drama serial Mann Mayal.
She said, “Right after Mann Mayal I went to India, I auditioned, everything was finalized, but because of the bad things couldn’t pan out as planned. Even after that, we tried working things out, considered shooting at different locations besides India but things couldn’t materialize.”
Maya continued, “After the ban the dynamics changed, and as of now I am not doing any movie with Akshay Kumar.”
She added, “I have watched almost every Karan Johar film so you can imagine what a Bollywood buff I am.”
Maya began her career as a video jockey and appeared in many television shows for Samaa and Duniya.
She is known by her stage name, Maya Ali but her real name is Maryam Tanveer Ali.
