Maria B recently took to Instagram to express her anger over Indian fashion designer Abhinav Mishra getting permission to shoot his campaign in Pakistan. She questioned the authorities and said that Pakistani artists have always faced hostile behavior from across the border.
It all started when a video surfaced on Instagram by user ‘dua_butt’ that went viral. It said: “Umm, did we suddenly okay relations with #India? How exactly is this taking place?”
The wedding footage of Abhinav Mishra showcases a beautiful, elaborate wedding set in Lahore. Maria B shared the video at her stories and wrote: “Why isn’t the same opportunity provided to Pakistani designers, if this is happening in Pakistan, why aren’t we allowed to do this in India?”.
Maria B was so furious that she went on to question the Prime Minister of Pakistan, and asked: “Where is PM Imran Khan’s directive on the situation in Kashmir in all this?”
For the unversed, recently a statement was issued by Raj Thackeray’s right-wing Maharashtra Navnirman Sena stating that “No Pakistani artist would be allowed to work in India”. This statement was issued when Pakistani superstar Mahira Khan expressed her desire to collaborate with Indian artists.
