‘Jaan Nisar’ Falls Flat, High Time For Danish Taimoor To Explore New Roles!

We undoubtedly have a deep appreciation for our TV dramas. We proudly support our actors, track their careers, talk about their projects, and critique their performances. Even with the heightened drama, we often find ourselves relating to the characters and their situations. While each character has its unique appeal, the hero of an enterprise stands out as particularly significant. And what if you see him in the same avatar again and again?

The Problem

Danish Taimoor’s latest outing ‘Jaan Nisar’ offers nothing new. Like literally? We don’t know what is going on in the actor’s mind. Why is he opting to play the same character again and again? Taimoor needs some serious counseling to get his career back on track. Maybe wife and actor Ayeza Khan may help in selecting diverse roles?

The Same Avatar

In ‘Jaan Nisar’, Taimoor plays Nosherwan Ghaznavi, a rich guy with a troubled past who falls head over heels the moment he watches Dua (Hiba Bukhari) dancing at a wedding. The play looks like a cheap version of Deewangi. The latter was mounted on a good scale with interesting proceedings and good characterization.

It feels that ‘Jaan Nisar’ is shot in a rush. The characters are poorly written, they lack depth and soul. The directions are plain ordinary, resultantly the overall impact is missing big time. Danish is doing what he does best i.e. he looks great, maintains the angry look, and mouth dialogues mechanically. How many times Danish? We have already seen you in the same avatar in Deewangi, Kese Teri Khudgarzi, Ishq Hai and Rah-e-Junoon.

What Should Be Done

No one is to blame except Danish himself. It’s high time that he should break the shackles of monotonous and come up with a new onscreen avatar. For the unversed, ‘Jaan Nisar’ is written by Rehana Aftab and directed by Mohsin Mirza, It is produced by Abdullah Kadwani & Asad Qureshi. The cast also includes Sajid Hassan, Hina Bayat, Mehmood Aslam, Dania Anwer and Kinza Malik in supporting roles.
