First introduced in 2002, The Lux Style Awards is one of the biggest award shows in Pakistan honoring and celebrating style, cinema, fashion, music and TV. With the recent nominations for the 22nd edition being revealed, many fans and people from the fraternity seem to be upset with the lineup stating that some of the best performances and artists were missing from the cut.
No Wahaj Ali Nomination? Wow…Just Wow
Despite having a good 2022, Wahaj Ali’s Jo Bichare Gaye was missing from the list even though Wahaj team’s confirmed that the actor’s profile was separately submitted to the LSA Office. Strange!
Hardly Any Fashion
Supermodel Mushk Kaleem addressed the same issue stating to ‘cancel all fashion awards’. The fashion category has whittled away into nothing less. However, she congratulated her favorite people who made it to the cut.
Actor Ali Abbas Concerns
The Naqab Zan actor shared his concerns on his Instagram story. He was shocked not to see Sania Saeed (Kamli), Mehwish Hayat (London Nahe Jaonga), Sonya Hussyn, and Iman Aly’s (Tich Button) names in the nomination list. He was surprised that the directors of the best film (Ghabrana Nahi Hai) and best TV drama (Kesi Teri Khudgharzi) weren’t nominated in the best director category. Why? Similarly, Shae Gill of Passori fame didn’t make it to the list while Abida Parveen did.
Scroll down to have a look at the complete list of nominees.
