1) Meri Shehzadi
With actors like Mawra Hocane, Ali Rehman and Sonya Mishal, Meri Shehzadi is another major extravaganza from the house of HUM TV. According to the channel You Tube description “Meri Shehzadi is the story of Dania raised by her grandfather – a dedicated admirer of monarchies, who treats his granddaughter like a princess. Will Dania also face the same trials, tribulations and difficulties that come with a life of royalty?” The plot revolves around a political theme where Hocane plays the central character. She can be seen as a political leader, a philanthropist, a survivor and a princess of hearts. Written by Zanjabeel Asim Shah, the supporting cast of includes Muhammad Qavi Khan, Atiqa Odho, Shamim Hilaly, Shabbir Jan, Nauman Masood, Najiba Faiz, and others.
2) Tinkay Ka Sahara
The powerhouse performer Sonya Hussyn teams up with ace writer Zanjabeel Asim Shah for Tinkay Ka Sahara. The show highlights the two sides to love and marriage. The drama serial also features Rabab Hashim as the second lead. The teasers showcase the contrasting personalities of Hussyn and Hashim. The former is a simple girl who is happy with whatever life has given her; she ends up marrying the jobless Haroon Shahid. Whereas, Rabab wants to lead a luxurious life and finds wealth and abuse as Sami Khan’s wife. Directed by Zeeshan Ahmed under the banner of Moomal Entertainment, Tinkay Ka Sahara will take us into a world full of romance, tragedy and much more.
3) Muhabbat Aik Saza
After giving back-to-back successful plays like Ishq Zahe Naseeb, Pyar Ke Sadqay, Baaghi and Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay, Farooq Rind is back with Muhabbat Aik Saza. The show features a grand cast that includes Zahid Ahmed, Sana Javed, Saba Faisal, Omair Rana, Shamim Hilali and Salman Shahid. It is written by Zanjabeel Asim Shah and produced by Sana Shahnawaz and Samina Humayun Saeed . The drama serial will air on Hum TV soon.
4) Sanwal Yar Piya
This one is making us super excited; three top actors of the industry Imran Ashraf, Feroze Khan and Iqra Aziz pair up for Wajahat Rauf’s Sanwal Yar Piya. Rauf teams up with writer Hashim Nadeem yet again after the stupendous success of Raqs-e-Bismil. The play is touted to be an intense love story. We have witnessed Iqra’s sizzling chemistry with both the heroes in Ranjha Ranjha Kardi and Khuda Aur Muhababt 3. So, naturally we expect some major fireworks with this one. Produced by Wajahat and Shazia Rauf, the show will air on GEO TV soon.
5) Pinjra
Starring Hadiqa Kiani, Omair Rana, Aashir Wajahat and Sunita Marshall, Pinjra was the last script penned by late writer Asma Nabeel. The first look of the drama introduces the family. The voiceover by Kiani seems to suggest that though all kids are supposed to be equal in their parent’s eyes, it doesn’t always end up being that way. The show is directed by Najaf Bilgrami and produced by Shazia Wajahat under the banner of Showcase Productions. Pinjra will air on ARY Digital soon.
